Some of you know that I have been working on a new project this year that is very special to me. I´ve kind of hinted at it here and there, but haven´t really gone public with it yet, until now.
I´m making my first full length film, "Welcome To The Outside", and its been one of the most incredible experiences of my entire life. I wanted to make a modern day musical that shares what its like to have your life changed by Yosemite, true connection, and the power of nature. This story metaphorically tells the experience of so many of my friends, including myself.
Its a film about life, love, and the pursuit of happiness. Join us for a journey to Yosemite; where we explore nature´s magic through music, outdoor adventure, and connection.
Both myself and the two main characters Michael Schweitzer and Ashley Collins will be sharing our journeys of making this film through a blogsite at Welcome To The Outside.com. We’ll be writing about our experiences and insights, sharing photos, preview clips, and music videos, and hoping that you will join in this journey with us. We started filming in April and have had quite a journey that we´re excited to share with you.
We hope you will share your thoughts and feelings through comments, and please share this blogsite with all your friends. We really want to inspire and help make a difference in lives by showing how the beauty and power of nature can be so profound and life changing, so please help us by telling everyone you know to check out Welcome To The Outside.com.
For our first sharing, check out this music video teaser which bears the title name of our film.
We just finished all our filming for the movie this week, with Mike and I filming a road trip across Utah and Nevada, and then Ashley flying in to film with us in Tuolumne Meadows for the close of the film. We couldn´t have had a more magical closure as Mother Nature provided the most magical backdrop that we could have ever imagined.
These photos below are with Mike and Ashley filmed at Mono Lake and in Tuolumne as a snow storm descended upon us, giving us an incredibly magical feel beyond what we could have ever imagined to the footage and shots. Sooo exciting!!!
Check out the pictures below from Mike and I´s road trip! Utah was simply stunning and Nevada really captured the feel of the "Open Road".
