Washington DC Monuments Tilt Shift Photography

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010 at 10:37pm - Landscape

Before leaving the east coast I had an incredible night wandering around some of Washington DC´s monuments with the new Canon Tilt Shift 17 and 24 mm lenses.  I don´t shoot at night very often, and had never used a Tilt Shift lens before, so I was incredibly excited to explore and have fun.

I was really hoping not to, because its so darn expensive; but I think I really fell in love with the 17 TS.  It was such an exciting lens that opened so many new possibilities, and ways of "seeing", that I felt a whole new creative outlet bestowed upon me.

I have the lenses on loan from the Canon Professional Services program, which lets members try out different lenses when they´re available.  I plan to use these two as much as I can before I return them this week, with Yosemite as my current place to explore and have fun!

But for now, I hope you enjoy these Washington DC Monument shots; a pleasant detour from the regally scheduled programing of mountains, weddings, and outdoor adventure.  Do you have any favorites?
